Mufti Bashir Ahmad Farooqi, Imam-o-Khateeb of Dargah Hazratbal Mufti Bashir Ahmad Farooqi Sunday died due to heart attack. Survived by his wife, two sons and as many daughters, Farooqi died at his Hazratbal residence.
He was son of Late Moulana Ghulam Ahmad Farooqi, former Imam-o-Khateeb Dargah–e-Aaliya Asar-e-Sharief Hazratbal.
He was recently nominated, among nine others, for the reconstituted Board of Directors of J&K Wakaf Board by Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed.
