SRINAGAR: Police on Saturday claimed to have recovered arms and ammunition in central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
A police spokesman in a statement said that based on the credible input today morning, Budgam Police along with 53 RR launched a search in the forest area of village Shanipora Khan saab Budgam.
“During the search, incriminating material of Lashkar-e-Taiba and arms and ammunition were recovered which were kept concealed in a bag beneath the bushes in the said forest area,” said the spokesman.
“The recovery includes one Chinese Pistol 9 MM, one UBGL, four UBGL rounds, four Pistol Magazines, three Radio Set Antina, one 09 Volt Battery, three 7.62 mm Rounds, 98b9 mm Rounds and one Bonnet Cover,” he said.
“Upon this case under FIR Number 44/2021 under relevant sections of law stands registered at Police Station Khan Sahab and investigation is taken up,” said the spokesman.
