DDC Polls: 22 Percent Voting Recorded In Dandipora Village Of Larnoo Till 11 Am

SRINAGAR: Nearly 22 per cent turnout was recorded in Dandipora village of Larnoo DDC consistency in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district till 11 am on Saturday.

474 votes have been polled in Dandipora area out of 1975 till 11 am.

Pertinently, in the first phase of DDC elections, Larnoo went to polls today.

An official said that forty-three out of 280 constituencies in the Union Territory are going to polls in the first phase of DDC elections. The polling will end at 2 pm.

Elections for the DDCs, which are being held in eight phases, will conclude on December 19 and the counting of votes be held on December 22.

By-polls for 234 vacant seats of Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) are also being held simultaneously.

Guidelines have been issued by the Commission for safe conduct of the electoral exercise amid COVID-19 pandemic.
