SRINAGAR: An earthquake of magnitude 4.0 on the Richter scale struck 84 kms east of Katra, Jammu and Kashmir at 8:56 am on Tuesday, National Center for Seismology said.
However, there are no reports of any damage to life or property.
In the past month, 3 mild intensity tremors have been witnessed in Jammu and Kashmir. Earlier on June 16, two mild quakes rocked the J&K in one single day.
