Cross-border shelling rages in north Kashmir

Srinagar

The armies of India and Pakistan on Saturday late evening exchanged fire along the Line of Control in Keran and Karnah sectors of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

An official said that the Pakistan army opened by small arms along LoC in Keran and Karnah sectors of Kupwara district.

“The soldiers manning the fence also responded the fire strongly,” he said. However, there were no immediate reports of any damage from either side, he added.

When last reports came in the firing was going on.
