Unknown gunmen on Saturday evening shot at a shopkeeper Arjumand Majeed Bhat, in his shop at main chowk Baramulla, leaving him critically injured.
He was rushed to nearby hospital for treatment in a critical condition.
Soon after the incident a joint team of the army and SOG launched a cordon-and-search operation in the area to nab the assailants.
