Srinagar
Traffic on the Jammu-Srinagar highway was stopped on Saturday after an explosion occurred inside a car in Ramban district.
An official said that the explosion occurred inside a private car, which was a Santro and completely destroyed the vehicle.
“The CRPF present at the spot found urea, an oil bottle, and one LPG cylinder among the things recovered from the Santro,” said an official.
“The explosion appears to have been caused by a gas cylinder inside the car but this is based on preliminary examination of the car’s wreckage ANI quoted a police officer as having said.
CRPF sources say prima facie blast in the car seems to be a cylinder explosion, CRPF convoy was at a significant distance from explosion site, does not appear to be an attack. Investigations on. https://t.co/hzj8Cp9xpX
