Cool, sunny morning in Kashmir after two days of inclement weather

After two days of inclement weather, it was a cool and sunny morning in the Kashmir Valley on Sunday as the Met office forecast fair weather during the next five days.

“Weather is likely to remain dry in the Valley and the Jammu division during the next five days”, a Met official said.

Srinagar, the summer capital of the state was recorded 7-degree Celsius while the temperature in Qazigund in south Kashmir settled at 7.8 degrees Celsius.

The ski resort Gulmarg was at minus 0.8, and tourist destination Pahalgam recorded 3.0.

Leh town recorded minus 1.0 degree Celsius and Kargil minus 4.0 as the minimum temperature, while Drass town of the Ladakh division recorded minus 7.7.

Jammu city recorded 16.8, Katra town 15.4, Batote 9.4, Bannihal 8.3 and Bhaderwah 7.1 as the night’s lowest temperatures.
