As a result of the intense rainfalls, a bridge at Regipora that connects the Kupwara town with the Regipora collapsed on Tuesday night.
More than 100 meters long bridge built in 1950’s, did not resist the strength of the water from the Hyhama river and collapsed on the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday.
An official said that the six-decade-old bridge built in 1950’s, collapsed on Tuesday night however this will not affect on traffic movement. However, there was no loss of life or injuries reported.
