At Ajmer Dargah, Farooq Abdullah prays for peace

Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President Dr Farooq Abdullah, on Thursday paid obeisance at the Dargah of 12th-century Sufi saint, Khawaja Moinuddin Chishti.

Provincial President Jammu, Mr Devender Singh Rana accompanied Dr Abdullah to the Dargah in Ajmer Sharief.

The spokesman said Dr Farooq Abdullah performed Ziyarat (prayer) and took a round of the sanctum sanctorum. He also offered chhadar, ceremonial cloth inscribed with religious verses, and flowers at the acclaimed saint’s mausoleum at the Dargah.

Dr Farooq Abdullah prayed for communal harmony, peace, prosperity and well-being of the people of the country.
