Shopian attack: 3 policemen, 2 civilians shifted to Srinagar

Three policemen and two civilians who were injured in the militant attack in Shopian earlier in the day were shifted to Srinagar, Hospital sources told Kashmir Life.


The civilians who were injured in the militant attack have been identified as Mohammd Amin Zargar, shopkeeper by profession and a resident of Bonegam area of the town and Bashir Ahmad Hajam, a resident of Harman village. Hajam is running a saloon in the Chowk just beside the shop of Zargar.


The three policemen injured in the attack have been identified as SPO Shabir Ahmad belt number 54, Mairaj-ul-din belt number 455 and Wiqas Ahmad.


Pertinently, three police men and two civilians were injured earlier in the day when suspected militants attacked a police party in the South Kashmir town of Shopian.
