SRINAGAR: The Government on Saturday informed that 143 new positive cases of novel Corona virus (COVID-19), 35 from Jammu division and 108 from Kashmir division, have been reported today, thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 328881. Also, 01 COVID death has been reported from Jammu Division.
Moreover, 184 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged from various hospitals including 31 from Jammu Division and 153 from Kashmir Division.
Besides this, 81.32 percent of the population above the age of 18 years has been vaccinated across Jammu and Kashmir.
The Bulletin also informs that no new case of Mucormycosis has been reported today, thus the total number of confirmed cases remains 46 in the UT of J&K.
According to the daily Media Bulletin on novel Corona virus (Covid-19), out of 328881 positive cases, 1563 are Active Positive, 322897 have recovered and 4421 have died; 2173 in Jammu division and 2248 in Kashmir division.
The Bulletin further said that out of 14616040 test results available, 14287159 samples have been tested as negative till today.
Till date 3505587 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 7039 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 1563 in isolation and 461788 in home surveillance. Besides, 3030776 persons have completed their surveillance period.
Providing district-wise breakup, the Bulletin said that Srinagar has 74024 positive cases (including 52 cases reported today) with 723 Active Positive, 72463 recovered (including 112 cases recovered today), 838 deaths; Baramulla has 24271 positive cases (including 17 cases reported today) with 176 Active Positive, 23813 recovered (including 10 cases recovered today), 282 deaths; Budgam reported 23545 positive cases (including 14 cases reported today) with 165 active positive cases, 23173 recovered (including 12 cases recovered today), 207 deaths; Pulwama has 15445 positive cases with 43 Active Positive, 15208 recovered and 194 deaths; Kupwara has 14341 positive cases (including 04 cases reported today), 31 Active Positive, 14144 recoveries (including 05 cases recovered today) and 166 deaths; Anantnag district has 16513 positive cases with 25 Active Positive, 16283 recovered and 205 deaths; Bandipora has 9723 positive cases with 31 Active Positive, 9590 recoveries and 102 deaths; Ganderbal has 10293 positive cases (including 09 cases reported today) with 89 Active Positive, 10125 recoveries and 79 deaths; Kulgam has 11476 positive cases 20 Active Positive, 11339 recoveries and 117 deaths while as Shopian has 5606 positive cases with 04 active positive cases, 5544 recoveries and 58 deaths.
Similarly, Jammu has 53142 positive cases (including 07 cases reported today) with 54 active positive cases, 51944 recoveries (including 09 cases recovered today), 1144 deaths; Udhampur has 11397 positive cases with 07 active positive cases, 11253 recoveries and 137 deaths; Rajouri has 11171 positive cases with 29 active positive, 10905 recoveries and 237 deaths; Doda has 7751 positive cases (including 08 cases reported today) with 66 Active positive, 7552 recovered and 133 deaths; Kathua has 9290 positive cases with 02 active positive case, 9137 recovered and 151 deaths; Samba has 7147 positive cases with 08 active positive cases, 7019 recoveries and 120 deaths; Kishtwar has 4812 positive cases with 11 Active Positive, 4757 recoveries and 44 deaths; Poonch has 6347 positive cases with 07 active positive, 6243 recoveries and 97 deaths; Ramban has 6017 positive cases with 10 active positive cases, 5940 recoveries and 67 deaths while Reasi has 6570 positive cases with 62 active positive cases, 6465 recoveries and 43 deaths.
According to the bulletin, among the total 328881 positive cases in J&K, 23429 have been reported as travelers while 305452 as others.
The Bulletin said that the breakup represents districts from which the patients have been traced or are ordinarily residing.
The bulletin added that there are 2423 COVID dedicated beds, 2019 Isolation beds with 2004 vacant beds and 404 ICU beds where 397 beds are vacant in Jammu division while there are 3353 COVID dedicated beds, 3074 Isolation beds where 3011 beds are vacant and 279 ICU beds where 261 are vacant beds in Kashmir division. There are a total of 5776 COVID dedicated beds, 5093 Isolation beds with 5015 beds vacant and 683 ICU beds with 658 vacant beds in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
