SRINAGAR: Army on Sunday apprehended three persons from Shopian district of south Kashmir on “suspicion” and later handed over to the police which have found “nothing adverse” against them.
Official sources told news agency GNS that the three persons were apprehended by army 156 Territory Army from Poshana area behind army’s 16 RR post.
The trio has been identified as Mushtaq Ahmed Thokar, Umar Gulzar Wani and Shakir Ahmad Bhatt, all residents of Shopian. Later they were handed over to police.
When contacted SSP Poonch Ramesh Angral said that “nothing adverse has been found against them so far.”
“Since they are from Valley, we will follow due course in handing over,” he added.
