J&K Reports 364 New COVID-19 Cases, Tally Reaches 92225

SRINAGAR: The Government on Monday informed that 364 new positive cases of novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), 147 from Jammu division and 217 from Kashmir division, have been reported today thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 92225. Also, 06 COVID-19 deaths have been reported; 02 from Jammu division and 04 from Kashmir Division.

Moreover, 627 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals including 229 from Jammu Division and 398 from Kashmir Division.

According to the daily Media Bulletin on novel Coronavirus (Covid-19), out of 92225 positive cases, 7296  are Active Positive, 83485 have recovered and 1444 have died; 480 in Jammu division and 964 in Kashmir division.

The Bulletin further said that out of 2194292 test results available, 2102067 samples have been tested as negative till October 26, 2020.

Till date 642510 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 18198 persons in-home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 7296 in isolation and 46825 in-home surveillance. Besides, 568747 persons have completed their surveillance period.

Providing district-wise breakup, the Bulletin said that Srinagar has 18729 positive cases (including 76 cases reported today) with 1645 Active Positive, 16738 recovered (including 175 cases recovered today), 346 deaths; Baramulla has 5675 positive cases (including 56 cases reported today) with 1414 Active Positive, 4118 recovered (including 69 cases recovered today), 143 deaths; Pulwama reported 4573 positive cases (including 15 cases reported today) with 243 active positive cases, 4250 recovered (including 10 cases recovered today), 80 deaths; Kulgam has 2460 positive cases (including 01 case reported today) with 104 Active Positive, 2310 recoveries (including 05 case recovered today), 46 deaths; Shopian has 2177 positive cases (including 06 cases reported today) with 88 Active Positive, 2054 recovered (including 03 cases recovered today) and 35 deaths; Anantnag district has 4183 positive cases (including 07 cases reported today) with 338 Active Positive, 3771 recovered (including 28 cases recovered today), 74 deaths;  Budgam has 5877 positive cases (including 13 cases reported today) with 327 Active Positive and 5458 recovered (including 53 cases recovered today), 92 deaths; Kupwara has 4311 positive cases (including 25 cases reported today) with 400 Active Positive, 3840 recovered (including 19 cases recovered today), 71 deaths; Bandipora has 3981 positive cases (including 05 cases reported today) with 269 Active Positive, 3667 recovered (including 13 cases recovered today), 45 deaths and  Ganderbal has 3440 positive cases (including 13 cases reported today) with 194 active positive cases, 3214 recoveries (including 23 cases recovered today) and 32 deaths.

Similarly, Jammu has 17013 positive cases (including 108 cases reported today) with 890 active positive cases, 15874 recoveries (including 132 cases recovered today), 249 deaths; Rajouri has 3172 positive cases with 126 active positive cases, 3000 recovered (including 42 cases recovered today), 46 deaths; Ramban has 1563 positive cases (including 07 cases reported today) with 66 active positive, 1484 recoveries and 13 deaths; Kathua has 2387 positive cases (including 05 cases reported today) with 45 Active positive, 2312 recovered (including 03 cases recovered today), 30 deaths; Udhampur has 2637 positive cases (including 04 cases reported today) with 105 active positive cases, 2503 recovered (including 11 cases recovered today)  and 29 deaths; Samba has 2135 positive cases (including 02 cases reported today) with 372 Active Positive, 1738 recoveries  and 25 deaths; Doda has 2615 positive cases (including 06 cases reported today) with 155 active positive cases, 2415 recoveries (including 21 cases recovered today), 45 deaths; Poonch has 2219 positive cases (including 10 cases reported today) with 267 active positive, 1930 recoveries (including 20 cases reported today), 22 deaths; Reasi has 1229 positive cases (including 05 cases reported today) with 75 active positive, 1147 recoveries and 07 deaths while Kishtwar has 1849 positive cases with 173 active positive cases and 1662 recoveries and 14 deaths.

According to the bulletin, of the total 92225 positive cases in J&K 9620 have been reported as travelers while 82605 as others.

The Bulletin said that the breakup represents districts from which the patients have been traced or are ordinarily residing.

The bulletin added that there are 1306 COVID dedicated beds, 1170 Isolation beds with 1064 vacant beds and 136 ICU beds where 101 beds are vacant in Jammu division while there are 2345 COVID dedicated beds, 2197 Isolation beds where 1718 beds are vacant and 148 ICU beds where 120 are vacant beds in Kashmir division. There are a total of 3651 COVID dedicated beds, 3367 Isolation beds with 2782 beds vacant and 284 ICU beds with 221 vacant beds in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

The Central Government is continuously monitoring the evolving situation of Covid-19 in the Union Territory and is providing all necessary support towards effective containment of the spread of Covid-19 and better clinical management of positive cases.

The government has also started free teleconsultation general OPD services by Specialists/MBBS Doctors for the residents of J&K under National Teleconsultation Service. People can avail these services from Home by registering online on web portal  https://ift.tt/2YXoEWE. The services are available on Monday to Saturday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. People can also download and install esanjeevani OPD app from google play store.

Besides, 24×7 Rapid Antigen Testing facility for COVID-19 has been started outside the emergency of GMC Hospital Jammu. The facility will be very useful for segregation of patients in the emergency wing of GMC Jammu.
