Hurriyat (G) chairmain Syed Ali Geelani on Thursday expressed a deep grief over the death of 10-year-old Musharraf Fayaz of Datmudoor village. The said minor had received serious injuries after an unexploded shell went off at the gunfight site in Ganpora Shopian last week.
The spokesman quoting the Geelani said “we are grieved over the sad incident, our sympathies are with the grieved family.”
The spokesman quoted Geelani while addressing over a phone to mourners, “we grief with the victim of the family, saying our innocent children are worst sufferers of government.”
Lashing at New Delhi Geelani said that killing, molestation and humiliation goes unabated and armed forces are not accountable for their heinous crimes.
Even our innocent kids are insecure and the worst situation and human rights volition we witness here is nowhere seen in world, said Geelani.
He said our youth and innocent kids are being killed on mere pretext and even we are not being allowed to mourn these gruesome incidents.
Geelani said that since past eight years I am virtually in jail and authorities even don’t allow me to oblige religious duties, nor they allow me to attend funerals of these innocent martyrs.
In his address while referring to detention of Shabir Ahmad Shah, Peer Saif Ullah, Ayaz Akbar, Meraj u Din Kalwal, Farooq Ahmad Dar, Nayeem Ahmad Khan, Kamran Yusuf and Zahoor Ahmad Watali and Syed Shahid Yusuf, Geelani termed their detention as political vendetta, saying nothing substantial or objectionable was proved or found against these.
Geelani while praying for innocent Musharraf, said that it is heart wrenching and our heart goes with the bereaved family and reiterated his appeal for Shopian Chalo, asking people to make call a success.
Syed Ali Geelani also expressed his deep grief over the murder of a trader and goldsmith in Sopor and expressed his condolences and sympathies with grieved family.
Geelani said that his murder is a serious matter and added that those involved in this heinous and coldblooded murder deserve stringent punishment.
