In a brief encounter between militants and forces two militants have reportedly been killed in Sopore town of Baramulla district Saturday noon.
Police sources said that Baramulla police and army after suspecting militant movement in the area intercepted a vehicle on By-pass near Amargarh in Sopore.
After a brief exchange of fire, two militants were killed, reports said.
Police sources said that some arms and ammunition has also been recovered from the two militants.
The identity of the militants was not known immediately.
Details awaited.
