Srinagar: A Truck driver was killed when the truck he was driving, skidded off the road and plunged into gorge near Zig Qazigund area on Srinagar-Jammu Highway Monday morning, traffic police officials said.
The accident took place near Ummo crossing Qazigund when one loaded LP truck bearing registration number JKO2BQ-1866 rolled down about 300 feet resulting into on spot death of its driver Mohammad Altaf, a resident of Rajouri while its conductor, Fayaz Ahmad, a resident of Dhalyote Kalakote has been injured.
