JK Government Launches “CSC-PAHAL” Initiative For Development

SRINAGAR: The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has launched the “CSC-PAHAL” initiative to effectively implement the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for development. This initiative aims to ensure that the priorities set by the Prime Minister during the two national conferences of Chief Secretaries in 2022 and 2023 are executed in a timely manner.

According to a Government circular, the first national conference in 2022 focused on strengthening the partnership between the Centre and State Governments to achieve a common development agenda. It laid the foundation for cohesive action and collaboration to fulfil the aspirations of the people.

Building upon this, the second conference in 2023, themed “Viksit Bharat: Reaching the Last Mile,” emphasised stimulating growth, job creation, and inclusive human development.

“The roadmap devised during these conferences has become the cornerstone of the planning process in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir,” read the circular.

It further stated that the identified priorities have been synchronised with key deliverables for various departments in the current financial year.

To facilitate effective monitoring and implementation of the projects and initiatives, a comprehensive Google tracker has been introduced, it added.

The Google tracker, it said, will collate quarterly progress reports from each department on the action points related to the identified priority areas.

“This monitoring mechanism aims to ensure transparency and accountability in the execution of projects and initiatives,” read the order.

The Government has urged the Administrative Secretaries to diligently update the Google Tracker on a quarterly basis.

“This will enable the Government to track the progress of each action point and take necessary measures to ensure timely implementation. The introduction of this initiative reflects the Government’s commitment to effectively execute the Prime Minister’s priorities and drive sustainable development in Jammu and Kashmir,” read the circular.
