SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Police said they killed two militants in an encounter in the Tral belt of Pulwama. One of the slain is said to be from Lashkar and another from AGuH.

Details said a joint posse of police, troops and the paramilitary started the operation early morning in the Tral area, falling in Awantipore police district. After about two hours, two militants were reported killed.
Police identified the slain duo as Muzaffar Sofi and Umar Teli. The Police said they killed a Sarpanch recently.
