SRINAGAR: A 55-year-old man died after hit by a scooty at Darpora area of Lolab in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district Wednesday.
An official said that Wali Mohammad Najar, son of Abdul Aziz Najar, a resident of Darpora in Lolab was crossing the road in the area when a scooty bearing registration number JK09A 5709 hit him around 9:30 am on Tuesday leaving him grievously injured.
He was rushed to SDH Sogam for first aid, he said, adding that from SDH Sogam, Najar was referred to SKIMS Soura in Srinagar for specialized treatment, but he died at 2am on Wednesday.
A police officer said that a case has been registered into the incident and further investigation has been taken up.
