Stop Looking Towards Taliban, Pak, China: BJP Leader To NC, PDP

SRINAGAR: Warning National Conference (NC) and People’s Democratic Party (PDP) leadership to stop looking towards China, Pakistan and Taliban, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), national general secretary and incharge J&K and Ladakh Union Territories, Tarun Chug said Kashmir belongs to India, was of India and will continue to be part of India.

According to a report published by Daily Excelsior, talking to reporters during a party programme at BJP Headquarters, Trikuta Nagar Jammu where some prominent people joined the party, Chug said those talking about Taliban, China and Pakistan are daydreaming like “Mungeri Lal key Haseen Supnay”. He reminded them that it is the modern Bharat (India) of Narendra Modi and we have shown it in the past that those who tried to harm us were not spared by India and those who will try to do it in future will too meet the same fate.

Quoting Chug newspaper Daily Excelsior reported that Modi Government has adopted a strict policy in this regard that “Chhaido Gey To Chhodain Gey Nahi”. Earlier they (Pakistan) tried to inflict injuries on us but we gave a befitting reply to them, he added.

He said the people of J&K are now dissociating themselves with the narrative created by NC and PDP parties.

The BJP leader said that parties can’t give a good leader to J&K but a good leader will emerge from the democratic process started by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.

He said the statements that Taliban is coming to Kashmir are totally misleading as India is competent enough to deal with any one.

Chug said thousands of freedom fighters, soldiers and patriotic people have shed their blood for unity and integrity of this nation and we will not allow any one to challenge our national integrity.

Maintaining that not only Kashmir is an integral part of India, Chug said that every inch of Pakistan administered Kashmir also belongs to India and we have a national commitment to liberate every inch of land.

Making a scathing attack on Congress party, the BJP national general secretary asked JKPCC chief, G A Mir and other leaders of the party to come clear on the statement of Advisor of Senior Congress leader of Punjab and former cricketer, Navjot Singh Sidhu who has said that Kashmir is under forcible occupation of India”.

“This is the language of Pak Premier, Imran Khan, ISI and Pak army and Congress leaders from J&K as well as its national president, Sonia Gandhi and vice president, Rahul Gandhi should tell the nation whether they own this statement or not”. “If they are not in agreement with the statement of Sidhu’s Advisor why have not they refuted it”? he asked.

Chug said they eclipsed progress and development of J&K. After being rejected by masses they talk about China and Pakistan some times.

He said regional parties proved a big curse for J&K for decades together and now people demand account of their misdeeds from them.

He said Mehbooba’s statement on Taliban is serious but she is habitual of making such statements earlier too in desperation.

Accusing both NC and PDP of misleading youth of Kashmir who took to arms, he said Kashmiris now want progress and development.

“The terrorism should be replaced by tourism now Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba handed over grenades to the youth of Kashmir but instead of grenades they need mouse for computers. The youth of Kashmir don’t need AK -47 now but I Pads, they need progress and development,” newspaper Daily Excelsior quoted Tarun Chug as having said.

Ridiculing people’s Allinace for Gupkar Declaration for demanding restoration of Articles 370 and 35-A, he said this is not possible as this too is like a day dream. However, he reiterated the commitment of Narendra Modi Government’ to restore the Statehood to J&K saying Home Minister, Amit Shah has made a commitment in this regard in Parliament also.

On holding of Assembly poll in the State, Chug said that PM Narendra Modi has made an announcement of holding elections in J&K.
