SRINAGAR: Mohammad Rafiq, Director Finance Health and Medical Education Department, passed away on Thursday late night at All India Institute of Medical Sciences New Delhi.

According to officials, Rafiq had suffered a stroke few days back in Srinagar and was flown to All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi for treatment.
As his condition deteriorated, he was put on ventilator support, where he breathed his last late last night.
DMeanwhile, DoctorsAssociation Kashmir (DAK) paid tributes to Mohammad Rafiq, KAS on his untimely death.
President DAK Dr M Yousuf Tak described Mohammad Rafiq who was director finance HME as a dynamic personality who served in the department for last many years.
“Lately he had been assigned the job of facilitating the resolution of DAK charter of demands and showed a promising attitude,” said Dr Owais H Dar Gen. Secretary DAK.
“We lost him untimely in AIIMS after a briefly illness,” said Dr Mir M Ashraf Sr Vice President.
DAK extends its deepest condolences to the bereaved family who lost him too early and Prays Allah for eternal peace to his soul.
“He will be always remembered for his honesty and Upright attitude,” added DAK spokesperson.
