SRINAGAR: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested the key conspirator in the killing of Parihar brothers of Kishtwar in Jammu and Kashmir.
An NIA spokesperson said that 51-year-old Malik Noor Mohamad Fayyaz was arrested from Phagsoo village in Doda.
He said it came to light that Fayaz was a conspirator in reviving militancy in the Chenab valley, maintaining he visited Assam and Nagaland along with slain Hizbul militant Osama-bin-Javid for procuring weapons for the purpose.
“Fayaz, who was also found to be instrumental in motivating and recruiting gullible Muslim youths to join the Hizb cadres, was produced in the NIA Special Court, Jammu and taken in NIA custody for three days,” he added.
Anil Kumar Parihar and his brother Ajit, residents of Kishtwar, were shot by unknown assailants on November 1, 2018.
