All entries and exits to Eidgah and Lal Bazar areas of Srinagar were sealed on Tuesday after authorities declared these areas as containment zones in the wake of COVID 19.
“Eidgah and Lal Bazar areas declared as containment zones have been sealed — all entries & exits closed. The areas have been sealed to prevent spread of COVID-19 out of there and enable smooth assessment to determine extent of spread after several positive cases surface therefrom,” district Administration Srinagar tweeted.

An official said that the sealing of the areas were aimed at preventing the spread of the coronavirus infection out of these areas.
As of now, J&K has reported 114 cases, of which two persons have died while four have recovered. As many as 93 cases have been reported in the Kashmir division while 21 cases were reported from Jammu.
