A batch of 5,522 Amarnath pilgrims left Jammu on Thursday for the cave shrine in the Kashmir Valley, said an official.
“An escorted convoy of vehicles carrying the 5,522 Yatris left the Bhagwati Nagar Yatri Niwas here for the Valley,” he said.
He said that 2,520 were headed to the Baltal base camp while 3,002 to Pahalgam.
Till date, 33,694 pilgrims have paid their obeisance at Amarnath cave.
