Pantha Chowk attack: One injured CRPF man succumbs, two critical

SRINAGAR: One of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel injured in the militant attack in Pantha Chowk Srinagar has succumbed to injuries, officials confirmed.

Among the injured CRPF personnel, two more are stated to be critical and are on the ventilator, officials said, while as other wounded men are stable.

Besides the CRPF men, a teenager girl also sustained injuries in the attack.

Pertinently, the attack was carried out by militants on Monday afternoon on the CRPF convoy carrying additional troops for the election duty.

Meanwhile, Militant outfit Lashkar-e-Toiba claimed the responsibility for the attack saying that its commander Abu Musa carried out the attack.

LeT also decided to reward the commander out what it termed a successful attack at Pantha Chowk Srinagar while issuing a statement to a local news gathering agency.
