Joint forces on Sunday evening launched a cordon and search operation in Dangerpora village of Awantipora in Pulwama District in the southern part of valley, reports said.
A police official said that the operation has been launched after inputs of presence of militants in the area.
Meanwhile, clashes were reported from the area after locals started pelting stones on the forces.
