Police arrested three peddlers and recovered 2448 tablets of Spasmoproxyvon from their possession.
Acting on specific information, a police party of Police Station Sumbal headed by SHO Sumbal Mehboob Hussain Banday under the supervision of SDPO Sumbal Rashid Akbar laid a naka at Rakh Asham, a police statement said Tuesday evening.
“During Naka, a Santro vehicle bearing registration number JKO5A-4248 was intercepted. On search 2448 tablets of Spasmoproxyvon were recovered from the vehicle and arrested three peddlers namely Ashiq Hussain Lone son of Reyaz Ahmad Lone, Alamgeer Ashraf Lone son of Muhammad Rafiq and Ahsan-ul-Haq Lone son of Mohammad Rafiq residents of village Wagub, Sopore who were boarding the vehicle,” the statement said.
Police have registered a case FIR number 169/2015 under section 8/21 NDPS Act and investigation was taken up.
