Flood ravaged governor N N Vohra and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah Thursday have donated their one month salaries to the fund for managing relief and rehabilitation of the flood affected population.
Omar has appealed J&K members of the parliaments and state lawmakers to make contributions to the chief minister’s relief fund. He has suggested them that donations can even be made from their special grants for the constituency development fund.
Besides, he appealed government employees and business community to donate for the relief and rehabilitation of the flood affected families by depositing money in the Chief Minister’s Flood Relief Fund, account no. 0110040100001275 (IFSC – JAKAO) of Jammu and Kashmir Bank Ltd.
