“The mood of RKFC is good. Everyone is looking positive and giving 100 percent effort. We look forward to the first game and playing a good match,” he said. “As a coach, I want to finish as high as on the table. That is my expectation and make sure we play as a team and one thing is guaranteed that when players go inside the field they will give 100 percent effort.”

Wadoo said Neroca is a good team as they have got good players.

“But we are more concerned about how we play tomorrow. Everyone is looking forward to tomorrow’s match and winning the game,” he said.

About the preparations for the matches, he said, “As the I-League season has started, we are very excited. The preparations are good. It has been almost two months since we started pre-season. It is a new team and almost every player is new. We have got new staff. I think everyone is trying to put their best on the field and we are really looking forward to having a great season.”

Senior RKFC player Subhasish Roy Chowdhary said they are expecting a good game against Neroca FC. “We are looking forward to giving our best. We have been training for this for the last two months. The boys are ready to play matches,” he said.

He said they missed the fans in stadiums for two years due to Covid. “We all have missed the fans. Football is nothing without the fans. I am hoping every stadium will be flooded with fans. We want to put on a good show for them,” he added.

The RKFC will play its next game at its home ground Synthetic Turf TRC Srinagar on November 19. (KINS)
