SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Wednesday claimed to have recovered arms and ammunition from a hideout inside a house after a brief encounter in Kutpora area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district.
A police spokesman in a statement said that on specific input counter insurgent forces launched a CASO in Kutpora, Shopian.
On specific input Security Forces launched a CASO in Kutpora, #Shopian. During search, #terrorists lobbed grenades on the search party. Search party also retaliated. However terrorists escaped due to darkness. Police & SFs busted a #hideout inside a house & recovered Arms/Amns.

He said that during search, militants lobbed grenades on the search party and search party also retaliated.
“However militants escaped due to darkness,” he added.
“Police and army busted a hideout inside a house and recovered Arms and ammunitions,” a police spokesman said.
