DAK Meets LG, Seeks Improvements In Public Health’s HR Policy

SRINAGAR: Dr Mohammad Yousuf Tak led a Doctors Association Kashmir (DAK) delegation to Lt Governor, Manoj Sinha and suggested a slew of interventions to improve the service conditions of the health workers.

The demands included Covid19 incentives for all; two and half-day salary; monthly risk allowances, caderisation of medical officers and dental surgeons, consultants apart from restoration of administrative seniority.

The delegation appealed to the LG to restore the previous SRO by virtue of which a Medical officer is allowed to proceed on higher education after completion of two years of service and not five years, as was in vogue before 2020, a spokesman of the DAK said.

Detailing the ordeal of unemployed dental surgeons, the DAK appealed to the LG to intervene in this humanitarian issue and requested for creation of new dental surgeon posts, absorption of unemployed dental surgeons in NHM at block levels and in Covid19 Hospitals.
