Massive clashes erupted between protesters and forces in Pulwama town on Saturday as a gunfight is underway inside the District Police Lines (DPL).
Witnesses said that youth took to streets and pelted stones on forces deployed in the town.
They said, forces responded by lobbing teargas shells, triggering clashes.
A gunfight is underway inside the DPL which was stormed by militants early Saturday morning.
Two CRPF troopers and a policeman were killed in the initial round of gunfire, police said.
