Kargil road mishap: 01 dies, 08 injured

One person died while eight others were injured in a road accident in Kargil.

According to police spokesman, a Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK07-0683 met with an accident on highway, in the jurisdiction of police station Kargil, resulting in on spot death of a passenger identified as Ghulam Mehdi son of Hadi Ali resident of Haral, Badgam and injuries to eight others including driver of the vehicle.

The injured were shifted to the hospital for treatment. Kargil police has registered a case in this regard.
