Four patients from Zanaskar for Leh and two patients from Kargil for Srinagar were Saturday airlfted.
The service was provided to these patients on the recommendations of Chairman J&K Legislative Council Haji Anayat Ali who took up the issue with Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti for arranging the facility.
The Chairman informed that one helicopter service will be arranged soon, if weather permits, to lift more patients from KARGIL.
Haji Anayat Ali expressed gratitude to the Indian Air Force for lifting these patients from places which are totally inaccessible during winter.
