A militant was killed after forces laid an ambush in Tarzoo area of Sopore in Baramulla district in northern part of Kashmir late last night.
Reports said that the ambush was laid in Haritar village.
They said that one militant died in the encounter while another managed to escape. However, the identity of the militant killed was not known yet
The search operation is underway in the area.
