Raj Bhavan bids farewell to its longest serving officer

Governor NN Vohra, and officers and the staff of the Raj Bhavan accorded a warm send off to Fayaz Ahmed Handoo, Section Officer in the Governor’s Secretariat, who attained superannuation on Tuesday.

At the farewell function, the Governor observed that Handoo was the longest serving officer among the permanent staff of the Raj Bhavan Secretariat who had served for 40 years with the 7 Governors.

Lauding Handoo’s long and dedicated service the Governor urged him to pen his memoirs and write about the working of the various Governors he had served with.
