Article 370:Opposition, treasury benches clash; House adjourned for 30 mins

The lower house of the state legislature on Wednesday witnessed chaos as opposition and treasury benches clashed with each other after opposition demanded Chief Minister’s clarification on her remarks on article 370.

As the house started this morning, leader of the opposition Omar Abdullah asked speaker that he should inform house about his two remarks on Monday.

“Have you checked the records and as you directed that Chief Minister will clarify her statement tell us when is she going to address the house,” he asked.

Speaker Kavinder Gupta said that, He has went through the records.

“Chief minister had said that there are some people who in the shadow of article 370 want to have one type of people,” he said.

He was refuted by Omar Abdullah asking that, when is CM going to clarify as it was not our demand but suo moto directions by the chair.

Speaker later directed to hold start question hour on which opposition members kicking the tables and mikes stormed into the well and approached to Speaker’s Chair.

The members had verbal brawl with treasury benches and were short of exchanging blows.

Few marshals were also hurt.

Lal Singh and Akbar Lone were seen closely and were intervened by marshals before sharing blows.

The house has been adjourned for half an hour.
