KL Report
SRINAGAR
A large number of students came on the Srinagar-Baramulla Highway Monday to protest against the alleged misbehaviour of the principal of Tahira Khanum Higher Secondary School HMT in the outskirts of Srinagar.
Reports said that as soon as the classes were to start in the Tahira Khanum Higher Secondary School HMT, the students started raising slogans against the principal.
“The principal misbehaved with a 12th class girl,” the protesting students said alleging “the principal is habitual of misbehaving with the girls of the school.”
The protesting students came on the Srinagar-Baramulla Highway and amidst sloganeering held a sit in resulting in the halting of the busy highway.
The protesting students were demanding expulsion of the Principal. They were furious against the “silence” of the school administration which according to them is aware about the situation.
Police officials were on the spot and trying to pacify the situation when the reports last came in.
