Authorities on Monday imposed strict restrictions in Kakapora area after incidents of stone pelting and protests after the killing of two militants in an encounter on Sunday.
Meanwhile, a large number of people today attended the Nimaz-e-Jinaza and funeral of the slain militants.
Locals alleged that an ‘undeclared curfew’ has been imposed in the area and people are not allowed to move anywhere.
However, police sources denied the imposition of curfew.
A shutdown is also observed in the Pampore town as well against the militant killings. Sources said the Saffron town resumed its routine early morning however, later all the shops and business establishments were closed.
Pertinently, Kakapora area witnessed stone pelting after the encounter, forcing authorities to impose restrictions.
Two militants were killed in an encounter with forces on Sunday.
Police said the slain militants were identified as LeT Divisional Commander Bilal Ahmad Bhat alias Bilal Lelhari of Lelhar Pulwama and Mudassir Ahmad Sheikh of Kirkipora Pulwama.
