Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu Kashmir Wednesday organised a blood donation camp in the premises of the residence of its chairman, Syed Ali Geelani who is undergoing house arrest since March 16 this year. The premises also houses the head office of the party.

According to a statement a large number of people participated in the blood donation camp for ‘Syed Ali Geelani Blood Bank’.

Addressing the participants on the occasion the Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman and veteran separatist leader Geelani said that right to self determination was the foremost right of any person or an individual and depriving it was the worst violation of human rights.

Geelani said that the Kashmir, ‘an internationally accepted dispute’ was also a humanitarian issue, whose unresolved status was taking heavy toll on the lives of the people of the territory.

Pertinently, ‘Syed Ali Geelani Blood Bank’ was established last year to help those who need blood on immediate basis.
