Labourer dies in stone query, Body recovered in Budgam, Baramulla

A 45 years old labourer Ghulam Ahmad Malla son of Abdul Gaffar Malla resident of Chesham Manasbal, was critically injured after he was hit by a shooting stone while working in a stone query at Manasbal, in Safapora, Ganderbal, police said on Thursday.


He was shifted to SKIMS Soura Srinagar where he succumbed to his injuries.


Meanwhile Police have recovered a male body in Charar-e-Sharief area of Budgam district last evening, police said.


The body of 30 years old Bilal Ahmad Kumar son of Mohammad Sultan resident of Kumar Mohalla, Charar-e-Sharief, a tailor by profession was recovered from Nafulteng Nallah, in Charar-e-Sharief, Budgam.


Police Station Charier-e-Sharief has initiated inquest proceedings under section 174 CrPC to ascertain the cause of death.


After completing all legal formalities Budgam Police handed over the body of the deceased to his relative for last rites.


An unidentified male body was Thursday recovered in Azadgunj area of Baramulla district.


Baramulla Police recovered an unidentified male body near Azadgunj Bridge from river Jehlum. The deceased is about 50 years of age. Police Baramulla has registered a case and investigation has been taken up to ascertain the identity and cause of the death.
