Langate legislator Engineer Rasheed was marshaled out of the legislative Assembly, currently in budget session, after he cornered government for not releasing the “juvenile” languishing under PSA in Kotbalwal jail Jammu. The boy, he said, is in miserable condition and is a destitute.
On Monday, Rasheed had produced birth certificate of the detained, Saahil Ahmad in the house. Government had sort a day’s time to respond in the case.
However, as proceeding started on Tuesday, Rasheed resorted to slogans for release of the detained boy.
“Release the detained youth as you have promised in this hose yesterday,” Rasheed said addressing treasury benches.

Rasheed also accused that for producing DOB certificate of the “juvenile” headmaster of his school and family was summoned by the police.
“Headmaster was made to sit in police station for a day in the police station,” Rasheed alleged.
While talking with Kashmir Life he said, that the family of the boy is being harassed by the police.
“This is black stain on the democracy that after producing documents of the person instead of releasing him and apologizing to the people they are marshalling me out,” he said.
Rasheed termed both NC and PDP as twin brothers for oppositions silence on the issue and supporting government.
J&K’s Law minister Abdul Haq Khan asked speaker to marshal him out of house saying that he is disturbing the proceedings of the house.
In immediate follow up, Speaker Kavinder Gupta, directed marshals to throw him out.
Interestingly, the police have allegedly used wrong name in keep the boy behind bars. Instead of Malik, the police have identified him ‘Sheikh’.
