Reports from Islamabad said that the area is witnessing rainfall while as snowfall is happening near Jawahar Tunnel on Jammu Srinagar Highway
Reports pouring in from Gulmarg suggest that it is snowing heavily. The tourist destination too has seen little snowfall so far this winter. The change in weather is expected to pull more tourists to the spot.

The snowfall is expected to raise the temperature by few notches. The intense cold wave amidst dry weather sweeping across the valley has lead to viral infection which has become widespread. Long queues of patients are seen lined up at the Chest disease hospital from past many weeks.
