All deserving sections covered under IAY: Govt

Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Abdul Haq Khan today said that all deserving sections of the society are being provided IAY houses on the basis of norms and 2011 census.

Replying to a question by MLA Rajeev Sharma, the Minister said that list for the potential beneficiaries is regularly updated to ensure that no one is left.

Giving details, the Minister said that 20958 IAY houses were sanctioned for state in 2014-2016.

Regarding the allotment of IAY houses in Akhnoor constituency, he said that 190 houses were allotted during 2014-15, and 81 during the year 2015-16 taking the total allotments to 271 houses in two years.

Shakti Singh Parihar, Yawar Ahmad Mir, Javed Rana, Mian Altaf, G M Saroori, Asghar Ali Karbalai raised supplementary questions  on the main question.
