SRINAGAR
Authorities early Wednesday sealed all entry points leading to Srinagar city centre Lal Chowk in view of the funeral prayers for JKLF co-founder Amanullah Khan.
Khan was not keeping well for quite long and breathed his last on Tuesday in Rawalpindi Pakistan.
JKLF chief Muhammad Yasin Malik had called for Nimaz-i-Jinaza today in Lal Chowk. However, his spokesperson said that Malik was arrested by police and curfew has been clamped in Lal Chowk, Maisuma, Kokerbazar, Kothibagh, Abi Guzar, Court road and other adjacent areas.
“All roads leading to Lal Chowk have been sealed by razor wire to prevent people from holding Nimaz-i-Jinaza,” the spokesperson said.
