Zaffar Ahmad Bhat
The Director General, Information & Public Relations, Zaffar Ahmad Bhat Saturday retired from government service after putting in 32 years of distinguished career.
He headed the Information Department four times.
Respected for his integrity and dedication, Zaffar has been a recipient of Chief Minister’s Gold Medal for honesty and integrity.
He has served the State distinctively as Commissioner Commercial Taxes, Secretary Tourism, Excise Commissioner, Special Secretary in Chief Minister’s Secretariat, Director Handicrafts and Special Secretary in Governor’s Secretariat and.
Earlier, the officers and officials of the Information Department bid an emotional farewell to Zaffar and recalled his contribution in resolving the problems of employees. They hailed his employee friendly attitude and dedication towards work terming it as inspirational, an official spokesperson said this evening.
