Mirwaiz Umar Farooq
All Parties Hurriyat Conference (m) chairperson Mirwaiz Umar Farooq was early Saturday detained at his Nigeen residence.
Spokesperson of the Hurriyat amalgam said that Mirwaiz was scheduled to attend a program today in central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
Shahid Ul Islam told Kashmir Life that Mirwaiz Umar Farooq was scheduled to address a religious gathering in Nasslahpora area of Budgam.
“It was purely a religious program,” Shahid asserted, “we don’t understand what made authorities to detain Mirwaiz at his home.”
