JKLF Thursday supported the strike call given by various trade federation sin valley.
In a JKLF statement, Yasin Malik said, “September floods were a great catastrophe that changed the history of Kashmir. International community usually rushes with rescue and relief to the affected but Kashmiris were denied this support by Indian authorities who disallowed international relief and also did nothing themselves to support the affected people.” “JKLF has decided to support the protest strike call and other programs given by various trade bodies on 7th September 2015, Monday, in this regard.”
“These floods changed the history of Kashmir and devastated thousands of families. Among the worst hit were the traders of the valley as floods entered the main shopping and trading markets and economically devastated these traders,” Yasin Malik said adding, “whenever these kinds of natural calamities hit any nation or area, international community rising above political and religious distinctions rush to support the affected people.”
“Kashmiris being a subjugated nation could not use this international support as Indian authorities denied and refused to give permission and entry to this international aid,” he said.
Malik said, “ironically Indian authority and its Kashmiri stooges themselves also did nothing to uplift the affected and from last one year only lip services are being done by India and its stooges.” “This situation demands unity from us and today we all shall stand united and protest against this apathy of Indian rulers.”
Condemning the atrocities being committed on Kashmiris languishing in different jails, Malik said, “Kashmiri inmates in Tihar jail have started a hunger strike against these atrocities and their condition is worsening day by day.” “Indian authorities have no respect for any international convents on prisoners neither have they any respect for established human ethics in this regard.”
Yasin Malik appealed to the international community, ICRC, amnesty international to intervene and save the lives of these Kashmiri inmates.
