A man was found hanging with a tree in district Pulwama last evening, police said.
“40-year-old Shabir Ahmad Sheikh, son of Mohammad Ismail resident of Kalampora was found hanged in an orchard from a tree at Kalampora Shadimarg in the jurisdiction of Police Station Rajpora, Pulwama,” the police said. “After completion of all legal formalities, police handed over the body of deceased to his relative for last rites.”
Pulwama police has initiated inquest proceedings under section 174 CrPC in this regard.
